For those of you who haven't seen this, it's definitely worth checking out. Ogre plays a supporting role, he's rather funny. It's chalk full of cult names, and it's a good way to spend an evening.

Wow... So many greats risking their careers and reputations for something so... well... I won't say it. But if you've seen it, you know. Not even bad in a charming way - just bad. Terrible lyrics. Overwrought plot that MAY have been revolutionary and trend-setting in 1970s. Goth affectations in the silliest setting possible. Ogre was embarassing, Anthony Head made me hate him as much as I loved him in Buffy, and even the venerable Sarah Brightman of Phantom of the Opera fame could not save this one from the trashbin. It aspires to cult status, but falls WAY short.

Understanding that opera is typically fairly overwrought anyway I have to say I really quite enjoyed it. A significant amount of the music was good and I thought Brightman really stood out, I enjoyed her in this much more than any of her work on Phantom. Visually it's fairly amazing as well.
